What is Freeze Drying?
Freeze Drying is a technique we use to preserve fresh flowers. With a state of the art Freeze Drying machine we first freeze the flowers to -30 F and then with a vacuum pump, remove the moisture from the flower leaving their natural size, shape and for the most part, color intact.
Why Should I freeze Dry my Bouquet?
You've already carefully chosen a wedding bouquet and paid hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars for all the arrangements and corsages. Now it's time to turn those expenses into memories. With Freeze Drying, your bouquet will look almost exactly like the day you had it on your wedding, allowing you to cherish that day forever.
Will my flowers look like they did before?
The Freeze Drying technique allows us to preserve the flowers of your bouquet in exactly the same physical shape as they were brought to us. In almost all cases, the color will slightly change. For example, some whites will become ivory while some reds darken to burgundy. However, with time, all colors will become a softer Victorian look.
Can I have any flowers Freeze Dried with good results?
Most flowers freeze dry beautifully but there are some exceptions. Chrysanthemums, Daises, Small Petal Blooms, Bouvardia, Spider Dahlias and greens do not freeze dry with the best results. They will be substituted in your Keepsake Design.
How long does it take?
Freeze Drying and framing take approximately 4 to 6 weeks after we've received your flowers and your completed order form. While 4 to 6 weeks is typical, sometimes certain frames can cause delays because they are out of stock. In these cases delivery times may be stretched to 6 to 8 weeks. All the work on your flowers will be done by professionals from beginning to end. It is important, however, that your bouquet be received as soon as possible for the best outcome. Please plan early so we can receive your flowers in the best condition possible.
What about prices?
Wedding Bouquet preservation ranges from $85 up to $120. Prices depend upon the size of your bouquet. This service also includes the complimentary Freeze Drying of 2 Corsages and 3 Boutonnieres. When you order your frame, we will give you a package price which includes the preservation of your flowers, your choice of style and color of frames and/or cases, personal consultation, choice of ribbons and replacement of wilted flowers (up to six pieces).
Package Prices range from $35 to $420 and up.
